GBBB @ Kenesaw - We will no longer play Boys JV at Kenesaw tonight 1/19. Girls JV will start at 4:00pm, followed by Girls Varsity at 6:00pm, and Boys Varsity after the Girls. Thank you.
Due to blowing and drifting snow, Franklin Public Schools will have no school on Friday, January 19th. A decision about Friday evenings games will be made by noon on Friday.

FPS Honor Rolls
Good afternoon,
If your child plans to attend the TeamMate Recognition Night this evening from 5:00 until 6:45, please let Mrs. Haussermann and Mrs. James know.
Please have your child come to the school library at 5:00.
We will serve a Sloppy Joe meal with chips, water, and a dessert bar.
TeamMates will be paying for Mentees and Mentors to attend the game. TeamMates will not be paying for parents or siblings.
Mentors and Mentees will be recognized during the halftime of the Varsity girls' basketball game ( around 6:30). After being recognized, Mentees are allowed to leave with their parents.

Due to Deshler not having school tomorrow. The JH boys game for tomorrow is cancelled. We will look at rescheduling.

Franklin Public Schools will have a 10 AM late start on Tuesday, January 16th. Buses will run accordingly and there will no AM preschool.

The basketball games in Blue Hill tomorrow have been rescheduled to January 25th and will be varsity only.
Speech CNFL at Grand Island on Saturday January 13th has been canceled.
The wrestling meet in Gibbon tomorrow has been canceled. They will look at date next week to potentially reschedule.
Due to the current weather conditions and the forecasted winds for Friday morning, Franklin Public Schools will be closed on Friday, January 12th. Staff will report at 10 AM.
Due to the current weather forecast the High School Girls Basketball game scheduled for tonight (1/11) in Red Cloud has been moved up. The girls JV game will start at 4:30pm. They will play 2 quarters of girls JV, immediately followed by the girls varsity warm up.
Due to the current weather forecast the Girls Wrestling Tournament scheduled on Friday, January 12th in Superior has been postponed. We will send out another message as soon as we know the rescheduled date.

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. This is a national effort to raise awareness about teen dating violence and promote healthy relationships. Franklin's NHS and FCCLA chapters are selling T-Shirts to help raise awareness. Wear your new shirt or any orange to the Franklin vs. Elba game on February 8, 2024. T-shirt order forms are available in the high school office or the school library. Orders are due by Thursday, January 25th.
