Last year's yearbook class (minus Hanna & Halley) are proud to announce the arrival of the 2024 books! They will be passed out today. Luckily, we do have a few extra available for purchase from Mrs. Sidman for $60.
Booster buttons, which are sponsored by the freshman class this year, are a great way to support your athlete or competitor! These are now available for purchase for $6 each. Order forms will be sent out with high school students today. Middle school & elementary to come later.
Attention all 7-12 Student Athlete Parents / Guardians: We are excited to implement a new concussion testing protocol. This program will provide access to more resources to better serve our student athletes. Please see the attached letter for more information.
Students / Parents / Guardians / Patrons: One of the summer projects at Franklin Public School was an upgrade to our door system. The new system has video cameras on the main entrance and the elementary entrance. Attached is a picture of those readers. It's important that you know, we can not talk through the reader until the bottom button (highlighted button in this picture) is pushed. Community Weight Room Fobs have been shut off due to the end of the 2023-2024 contracts. If you would like to renew your access to the weight room or purchase a weight room membership, please stop by the high school office. There is a new form and new way to access the weight room. Greetings!!!
I am Galen Boldt and will be serving as your Interim Superintendent for the 24-25 School Year. I am excited to be a part of the Franklin team and have already found the school and community to be so very welcoming. You have a great school and I am privileged to have the opportunity to collaborate with you to nurture the Hopes and Dreams of kids in Franklin.
I have worked for over 45 years as a teach/coach, principal and superintendent in several communities including Sterling, NE, Tecumseh, NE, Firth, NE (Norris Public Schools), Wahoo, NE, and North Bend, NE. I completed 2 different terms as interim superintendent at Johnson County Central and North Bend Central. I have been blessed to serve all of these communities and create relationships with students, staff, and patrons that I cherish to this day. My wife Cindy and I just celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary and were able to celebrate with our 3 children, their spouses, and our 8 grandchildren. We are Blessed beyond our deserving.
While I began my service on July 1, I will be working in both Franklin and Lincoln (home) in July, while I will have a greater presence in Franklin beginning August 1. I am looking forward to establishing new relationships this school year and will be working hand-in-hand with the staff and Board of Education to make this school year special. I am very thankful to the Board of Education for this opportunity and anxious to meet you all.
