Congratulations to our 3 State Track Qualifiers. Trace Bislow, junior, qualified in the one mile and the two mile. Grant Haussermann, senior, qualified in the 200 meter dash. Carter Trambly, sophomore, qualified in the two mile. Way to go Flyers! Good Luck at State!

The last day of school for Franklin Public School students will be Wednesday, May 15th with a 12:00pm dismissal. Lunch will be served that day. This will allow our teachers to participate in a full day of training that has recently become available on Thursday, May 16th.

The yearbook staff is hard at work closing out the 2024 books. Don't forget to reserve your copy! Book delivery date – TBD but we'll keep everyone updated. $60 payable to FPS.

Franklin Public Schools will offer a Driver's Education Course at the school, July 15-19, 2024. Class size is limited to the first 24 applicants and is currently open to all Franklin Public Schools students. The total cost is $350.00 with FPS paying $120.00 for students that are currently enrolled at Franklin Public Schools. After June 1st, the class will be open to students that attend area schools, if there is still space available. Students must be between the ages of 14-17 and MUST have a valid permit issued by the DMV to participate. Please contact the High School office for more information and registration forms.

Due to too many scheduling conflicts. The Awards Banquet will be held tonight, Tuesday, May 7th, at 6:00pm. We will only have the awards, cake and punch will not be served. Thank you.

Due to being in a Tornado watch and most of our students will be going home, the Awards Banquet scheduled for tonight has been cancelled. We will let everyone know if we are able to reschedule.

The National Weather Service forecast for severe storms looks to impact the Franklin Area towards the end of the school day. Parents or Guardians that would like to pick their students up prior to the storms moving in may do so by contacting the high school office to make arrangements. Thank you.

Reminder - Franklin Public School will host Our 2023-2024 Awards Banquet tonight for all NSAA Student Activities at 6:00pm in the cafeteria. Cake and Punch will be served.

Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members, This morning a student made threatening statements against the school community. We immediately contacted the Franklin County Sheriffs Department who promptly responded and began an investigation. Fortunately, our investigation determined that there was no legitimacy to the student’s threatening statements, and we have no basis to believe that there was a credible threat to the health or safety of the school community. By the same token, even idle threats or statements that elude or suggest violence by students are unacceptable. The school district and law enforcement will continue to take every threatening statement seriously and will react to them immediately. We are sending this message to you to make sure you are fully informed of the situation and so that you know we have been following the directives of law enforcement and legal counsel. We are confident that all of our students were and remain safe while they are at school. To the extent this has affected our students or their sense of safety and wellbeing, we will have counselors and other staff members available at school to work directly with students regarding this matter. We also urge every parent to reiterate with their students that these sorts of threats are not funny, or a game. Chris Lecher Superintendent

Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing Senior Spotlights (in no particular order) for all of our upcoming graduates as we approach their commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 11th. We are blessed to have you here to support our students and focus on student safety. Today's drills support the SRP safety protocols we follow at school.
